Jelly Mom Named Finalist In "America's Funniest Humor" Contest

The results are in! Syndicated parenting humor columnist Lisa Barker is once again a winner in HumorPress.com's "America's Funniest Humor" Contest. Barker placed as a Finalist and Semi-Finalist and also won Honorable Mention for the October/November 2005 competition, earning publication online and in print.
Barker's three winning entries take a hilarious look at modern motherhood that is laugh-out-loud funny for everyone. They're also very typical examples of her popular and ever-growing parenting humor column, "Jelly Mom," syndicated through Martin-Ola Press/Parent To Parent.
The winning Jelly Mom columns will be featured in HumorPress.com's online Humor Showcase until the close of the current contest, January 31, 2006. They will also appear in a print edition of "America's Funniest Humor" scheduled for publication in the first quarter of 2006.
"I'm really pleased with the contest results. I want to reach as many people as possible and the feedback I receive from readers for these winning columns is incredible," says Barker who anticipates the release of her first book - "Just Because Your Kids Drive You Insane...Doesn't Mean You Are A Bad Parent!" - in January 2006.
All proceeds from book sales will benefit "HUGS and HOPE Club," an organization dedicated to bringing smiles to critically ill children and their families.
