Good News For Positive Thinkers

Think. Do. Be. A Positive Thinker!

Hello my Positive friend,

I am honored to write you about an amazing lady. Jodie Lynn took on the establishment and won, by not compromising her ideals and dedication to a higher power. For all you MOMS this is must reading. OK, OK, OK, the rest of you can read it too.

Jodie Lynn is an award-winning, internationally syndicated family/health columnist, best selling-author and host of the new radio talk show 'Inside Parenting Success.' Her syndicated column Parent to Parent™ (www.ParentToParent.com) just celebrated its twelfth year and still continues to grow at a phenomenal rate. Lynn is a regular contributor to several sites and has written four books and contributed to three others, one of which was featured on the Oprah Winfrey Show.

However, not everything has always been rosy for the best-selling author. With the success of her first book, "Mommy CEO (Constantly Evaluating Others) 5 Golden Rules," several large publishers approached her to pick up the successful book and write a series. The catch was that Lynn would need to take out references to God and target the working mom as the REAL CEO.

While many thought her decision to be absolutely nuts, she stood her ground to protect the theme of the book: to help all moms claim their rightful title, Mom CEO and Mommy CEO, and allow God to help them succeed in everything possible. With a heavy heart, she passed the glitz and glamour offers which included a nice fat advance. It was especially hard since Lynn's husband had recently lost his job for the second time in two years due to the closing of the companies where he held a position. Their house had to be sold and their family moved to make ends meet.

Lynn went on to publish "Mommy CEO (Constantly Evaluating Others) 5 Golden Rules," in a revised 2001 edition with everything intact. It continues to be her best-selling book so far with the most recent two, "Mom CEO (Chief Everything Officer) - Having, Doing, and Surviving It All!" and "Syndication Secrets - What No One Will Tell You!" trailing not too far behind. At the constant urging of moms everywhere, she continued to create acronyms and logos for Mommy CEO and Mom CEO, which are printed on various pieces of merchandise for moms. Thinking things were going along pretty well, Lynn was stunned in mid-2004 in discovering that a VP, Family Online Channels, at AOL/Time Warner, was claiming to have coined the term, Mom CEO "Chief Everything Officer" and the media was running wild with stories describing how brilliant it was and how amazingly creative to be the first to make such a wonderful comparison.

Other companies, magazines, authors, websites, etc., soon followed suit claiming to have thought of a similar idea a couple of years earlier. Long story made short, attorneys were consulted, letters and phone calls exchanged, which lead to having the following blurb placed on Lynn's site, *Jodie Lynn originated the term Mom CEO™ and Mommy CEO™ (and CEO MOM™) in 1989, and all implications in honoring 'balance in the life of moms/women' in print since 1996 as the real CEO of Household™, CHO (Chief Household Officer ™) and Mom CEO (Chief Everything Officer)™.*

Lynn is also the CEO of www.AddingWisdomAward.com - an award program she created in 1998 to help parents ward off sexual predators for their children. After her own young children received porn pictures and links in a couple of their emails, Lynn was so shocked she immediately started a movement of checking out various family friendly sites and awarding them The Parent to Parent Adding Wisdom Award™. If parents saw the award posted on a site, it would be validation that it was indeed family friendly. After a few years people started requesting Lynn to review and evaluate their sites, games, toys, CDs, DVDs, etc., as a potential winner.

Needless to say, it became so over-whelming that after following through with the program for FREE for six years, it became clear that others would need to be hired to help with the more than 200 weekly requests. Thus, in late 2004, a separate site was launched where individuals can apply for the prestigious award in a wide array of categories that is fee based. Today, there are specific committees comprised of experts from across the United States who are involved with children and families on a daily basis in helping to evaluate potential winners. These committees look for products that entertain and teach, inspiring imagination and creativity.

Additionally, the committees are interested in how products help children and their families grow ethically, socially, intellectually, emotionally, and physically in everyday life, inspire financial ideas for families through motivational skills and concepts in a doable business situation and/or sites that bring validation, education and offer insightful tips to better equip parenting and personal lifestyles for the betterment of the family. After the committees approve products and websites, they are then given or forwarded to Family Testing Groups --real families-- for testing, reviewing and evaluating before final decisions are reached. New categories have been added for Cook Books, Business Books, Getting Organized, Unique Products, Publisher's Websites, Household Tools, HOT Products and more. See www.AddingWisdomAward.com for additional details.

Currently, Lynn continues battling others pertaining to the rightful ownership of the Mom CEO acronyms and implications, one day at a time. While the average everyday person might not have one drop of energy left to argue yet another opposition, her positive spirit is quite apparent in the ever-enduring experiences that seem to mass produce at least once a month.

Well, there you have it! Jodie typifies the 14th chapter in my BOOK…..’Are women Better Positive Thinkers than Men.” Check out Jodie’s amazing site. By the way: In my book I do not tell you who is the better Positive Thinker, and I have had many a divergence of opinions from men and women.

Positive Regards,
Ken Bossone, CEO, Positive Thinkers Club
